Beware: long, boring and meaningless story ahead. I'm just in my need-to-change-journal-entry-mood. May also contain grammar and spelling mistakes, I haven't proofread. Before reading, please make sure you won't be subconsciously blaming me for wasting your time with useless crap, because that's what I'll be doing.


Everyday I take a 10 minutes walk to school and from school. Sometimes it's more of a 7 minutes race, since I'm late pretty often. It can get awkward, though, to go on running down those quiet streets. People stare at me often, since everyone here just walks at their pace, slowly and peacefully. And even more awkward when I'm running down a street and an alarm goes off. It's happened more than once and I'm actually quite surprised no one's ever asked me to stop or called me thief.

Anyway, there are a bunch of houses and buildings on my way, and way too many people living there for me to have seen all of them, let alone meeting or knowing who lives where. I only know the people who have schedules similar to mine, and don't drive to their workplaces. Those who appear flawlessly on that spot at that time of the day. And, of course, bar owners and attenders and people who work in shops.
Nevertheless, not long ago, I got pretty surprised when I left my house and, after about a 3 minutes run, crossed paths with a dog I'd never seen before.
A beautiful dog, I must say. A black, clean, labrador retriever, if I'm not wrong.
Sure, I wouldn't usually be surprised by a dog who doesn't even bark at me. There are plenty around.

Just that that particular dog was walking itself.
I found it so odd I stopped my run and just kept staring at it. It wasn't bothered : The dog kept moving, at his slow pace, just like every person on the street. Maybe it's usual nowadays for dogs to walk themselves; for me, it was a first. I've seen loads of lovely and playful (and not so playful) strays, had my share of meetings with runaway dogs, and even knew dogs who where allowed to go off on their own.
But I'd never seen a dog walking itself.
And with "walking itself", I don't mean just traveling alone. I mean having a collar, and wearing a leash, but instead of having a owner holding the leash, holding it itself, in it's mouth.

As I already wrote, maybe it's just me who lacks outdoors experience and had no idea dogs usually walk themselves.

As to be expected, I was late to the English class.

Other than that: Christmas's approaching at a sickening speed. And of course, it's first symptoms are the christmas-related merchandising everywhere...
It's kind of odd, since we're still in November and all of this publicity is sadly announcing nothing other than an annual economical mark, but I still get all happy and excited and seasonal. For this kind of stuff, I'm still a child. :3
